At this time very few hand-held devices have implemented JABWT. It seems that JABWT is unavailable
on devices running Symbian releases prior to Symbian OS v7.0s. Whether OEMs decide to implement JABWT on their own or provide it by running Symbian OS v7.0s on their devices is not known.
Time will show.
I will try to keep up to date on which devices have JABWT and how it is included (OEM specific or through Symbian OS).
JABWT is first available from Symbian OS version 7.0s. See link for details.
Symbian OS 7.0s
Nokia now have two devices offering JABWT, the 6600 smartphone and the 7700 smartphone. At the time of writing only the 6600 is available through stores in Norway. The 7700 will probably be
available around the summer 2004.
Nokia have a list of devices and their capabilities stating that the Nokia 6600 and Nokia 7700 have JABWT
available. Check out the Nokia forum for phone specifications (Follow link Specifications under Resources):

I am now the proud owner of a Nokia 6600. JABWT is working like a dream (so far).
Sendo recently announced their new richly featured smartphone, the Sendo X. It is based on the Symbian OS platform and includes JABWT. The Sendo X is also based on the
Series 60 Platform, like the Nokia 6600. See link for press release.

The newly released P900 runs Symbian OS 7.0 and includes JABWT according to the P900/P908 White Paper available from Sony Ericsson's developer website. JABWT is however not accessible
in the initial release of the P900 according to one of Sony Ericsson's representatives in their developer's forum. Updated software is now available through
the Sony Ericsson Update program. A P900 java sdk has also been released, including two functional Bluetooth MIDlets. Updating the P900 software
will enable the JABWT.
Go to the Sony Ericsson website for more information.

Our research group has now aquired a Sony Ericsson P900. You should update the software, we are running R4* on our device now. The JABWT works ok.
It seems that Siemens has been holding back on the Bluetooth enabled devices, since they have few Bluetooth enabled devices available at this time. One of their promising devices
to come is the SX1. The SX1 is Java enabled and Bluetooth enabled but unfortunately does not include JABWT. Despite browsing through their developer's forum I have found no
useful
information other than We will implement Suns' JSR-82 in future phones.
Check out their colourful website.

Siemens collaborates with Nokia on the Series 60 Platform, which runs on Symbian OS. Hence, JABWT may be included in future Siemens devices providing they
run Symbian OS 7.0s or later.
It seems that Motorola have no devices with JABWT at this time. It was hard to find information regarding JABWT on their website. In the developer's forum
I found only one post about JABWT. The reply to this post stated that JABWT would not be available in devices with MIDP 1.0 implemented. However, in the the list of new Motorola
devices several devices were reported to utilize the MIDP 2.0. JABWT was not mentioned at all, so I assume it's not available in these devices either. See link for Motorola's website
targeting developers.
